Oophaga pumilio – Panama 2017

 

The strawberry poison dart frogs – Oophaga pumilio inhabits Atlantic coast from south of Nicaragua across Costarica to Panama. Greatest biodiversity of this species can be found on the islands of the Panamian archipelago Bocas del Toro and the surrounding mainland. Colour morphs of pumilios on the larger islands are melting together which is leading to the new interesting color mutations.
